Summer is upon us, the kids need occupying and you deserve a bit of fun yourself. We still have some availability for the summer holidays, there is too many things to tell you about whats yorkshire has to offer, so here’s one of the beauty spots on the doorstep of our cottages to inspire your next Yorkshire venture.
Hutton-Le-Hole is a gorgeous and historic moorland village with plenty to offer, time it right and you’ll be sharing the village with free range sheep and lambs, paddle in the stream and enjoy an ice cream on the Village Green. Don’t forget to leave plenty of time to visit the museum in the centre of the village https://www.ryedalefolkmuseum.co.uk it’s perfect for spending hours strolling around the 6 acres, exploring the local heritage in the reconstructed historic buildings from an Iron Age roundhouse to a Victorian Cottage and a Tudor Manor House and not to mention the cute farm animals, the Art Gallery and the model village. The Museum is well worth a visit and one to be enjoyed by all.
Not too far from the Museum is a selection of Craft Workshops occupied by a Ceramic and glass artist, Woodturner and Chocolatiers https://greenwoodcrafts.co.uk
No need to worry about going hungry whilst you’re in Hutton as there are a selection of eateries, the Village Pub https://www.crownhuttonlehole.com offers a hearty meal and so do the Tea Rooms too!
For the walkers, don’t forget to pack your boots, we’ve got a few maps in reception of some great. Circular walks starting from Hutton-le-hole heading to surrounding villages of Lastingham and Spaunton. Walking is one of the best ways to explore and discover our corner of Yorkshire.
