Award winning holiday cottages at the foot of the North York Moors National Park
We have been independently assessed by our guests on Tripadvisor, Quality in Tourism and Visit England, and have received several awards. We are very proud of these as they reflect our commitment to high standards and excellent hospitality for our guests.
Keld Head Farm Cottages was originally a traditional, stone built farm. In 1989 these farm buildings were tastefully converted into holiday cottages, and since then we have built two new cottages and continued to update the original cottages.
The cottages sit next to fields where sheep and cows still graze. Flowing rivers, swaying fields of barley, and relaxing woodlands are all a short walk away. Similarly, the quaint market town of Pickering is only a fifteen minute walk from the cottages. Pickering boasts a traditional steam railway, a medieval castle, a church with intact 15th century wall paintings, and a number of shops, eateries, and pubs. Slightly further afield is the North York Moors national park, which can be accessed in ten minutes by car. Alternatively, if you fancy a day out Whitby, Scarborough and York can all be accessed by car in about forty minutes. See the tourism map below to learn about more nearby attractions.
All of these facilities are on-site and available to use for everyone.
Whilst several of our cottages are available with step free access, Wheelhouse and Byre have achieved the Access 4 Walking Difficulties grading by Quality in Tourism. Click the button below to see our access statement.
Unfortunately we do not allow pets at our holiday cottages, we are sorry for any inconvenience this causes.
You can find our cottages under the red pin. Click other pins to discover attractions in our local area.
